Job Description
This role is remote-friendly. The Associate Director, Analytics leads the development of data driven solutions for clients — including report automation, analysis, and insight — with the objective of optimizing the performance of media initiatives. The Associate Director will manage data and insight delivery processes, drive innovation, and ensure all around team success. You will be execution-focused, deliver under time timelines, and manage data challenges in all phases of media performance. Your success requires the ability to manage complexity while collaborating across teams, experience within a matrixed organization, and comfort with a lean operating environment that leverages automation.
Responsibilities
Maintains positive, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and clients.
Exhibits strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills.
Understands the client’s business and develops innovative problem‑solving approaches; presents deliverables that articulate business value/impact.
Creates measurement strategies, learning agendas and roadmaps with input from internal stakeholders.
Contributes to the success of other team members by providing training, knowledge sharing and best practices.
Mentors and educates junior team members on job‑relevant skills (SQL, Tableau).
Manages daily performance and career growth of junior team members.
Data Analysis and Presentation: Manages a cross‑functional team performing and delivering data requirements, dashboards, custom and ad‑hoc analyses (advertising performance, website analytics, survey design/analysis, ROI modeling, cross‑channel analysis). Jumps into execution when needed, but custom and ad‑hoc analyses. Ensures all work delivered is high quality and accurate. Packages deliverables in an articulate, easy‑to‑understand format with a clear storyline that addresses client business needs. Presents client deliverables with excellent communication skills, with ability to convey and package technical findings in simple terms. Leads execution of overall media measurement strategy on behalf of clients, including reporting, measurement, learning agendas, and test design. Understands core client business challenges, and develops relevant measurement frameworks that outline measures of success, in‑flight optimization levers, and learning priorities. Works closely with internal and client teams to identify business needs and analytics opportunities, developing tools, dashboards, and techniques to optimize media performance. Guides the creation of reporting through automated processes, efficiently consolidating data from a multitude of sources into a cohesive view of performance. Improves the quality of reporting by creating easy‑to‑follow weekly or monthly visual dashboards that key stakeholders will utilize on a regular basis to make informed business decisions. Ensures alignment between daily analytics support and approved measurement frameworks. Prepares and delivers executive‑level presentations for internal and external audience. Participates in team‑wide culture of learning by staying current on current industry trends, developments in methodologies and technologies.
Qualifications 6 years in a quantitative business environment, 3 years in marketing analytics, preferably in an agency environment with knowledge of the media planning process. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science or related quantitative field. Hands‑on experience in third‑party media tracking and reporting tools, with a focus on standard media metrics. Experience in data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Datorama). Working experience with data from digital media platforms (e.g. DCM, SA360, TTD, FB, etc.). Demonstrates understanding of digital tagging, tracking, QA, and maintenance. Experience in site analytics, Adobe or GA4, a plus. Advanced MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
