What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a
Civil Transportation Engineer
with 5–10 years of design experience to join our Buford, GA team. This position supports transportation and ITS design projects, performing engineering calculations and plan development for state and municipal clients. The ideal candidate will be a Georgia PE or able to obtain one within 6 months. Reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review traffic, lighting, and ITS design plans using MicroStation.
Prepare engineering calculations, PS&E packages, and cost estimates.
Support signal, signing, and traffic control plan development.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to meet deadlines.
Provide technical guidance to junior staff and assist with QA/QC.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (required).
5–10 years of related transportation or traffic design experience.
Georgia PE license (preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Proficient in MicroStation CAD (Geopak or OpenRoads experience a plus).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with GDOT standards and traffic design software (VISSIM, Synchro, AGi32 preferred but not required).
Conditions Of Employment
Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
Applicant must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment.
Applicants may be required to provide a criminal background check. An unsatisfactory report will make the applicant ineligible for hiring.
If hired, applicant must provide documentation within three (3) days of hire date that establishes identity and employment eligibility.
