The Ideker Laboratory at UC San Diego is recruiting a
Director of BioMachine Learning (BioML)
to lead machine learning research and development for the "Dynamic Digital Tumors for Precision Oncology" project, a new precision cancer therapy initiative funded by the ARPA-H ADAPT Program. The project aims to use advanced AI/ML technologies to deliver the right therapy to the right patients at the right time, applying predictive biomarkers and interpretable AI/ML to create dynamical cancer treatment strategies and personalized therapies for patients with metastatic cancers. This role will oversee AI/ML research projects and objectives toward the successful completion of the ADAPT program goals. Responsibilities and qualifications are described below. Responsibilities

Apply expertise in bioinformatics, systems biology, and cancer biology to develop predictive models and interpretable AI/ML tools. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance precision oncology strategies and personalized therapies for metastatic cancers. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams and researchers. Qualifications
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. 3+ years of relevant work experience. Expertise in bioinformatics, machine learning, systems biology, and modern cancer biology. Strong project leadership and collaboration skills. Employment type
