How You Will Contribute As a Director, you will be leading a team and acting as the main conduit between our clients and our team on a range of complex assignments. You will manage projects by overseeing interview activities, gathering relevant data, developing goals and deadlines, reviewing work products of junior staff, and communicating with clients directly. The duties of a Director may vary depending on the client engagement but can include:

Engaging in c‑suite and board‑level conversations regarding the challenges facing clients and strategic initiatives for solving them

Utilizing your experience and expertise to effectively function in interim roles (e.g., CEO, CFO, CCO)

Helping clients understand their competitive advantages and product/service line profitability

Leveraging research and data to synthesize insights and separate myth from fact while also customizing strategic frameworks to develop recommendations that will drive tangible value

Retaining excellent working relationships with clients and liaising with leadership and the case team to ensure all project outputs include strategically sound and actionable recommendations

Knowledge of engagement economics and overall product delivery, budgeting, and timely billing & collections including managing the implementation risk and profitability

Building relationships with clients and seeking opportunities to expand the scope of business while generating leads

Mentoring, guiding, coaching, and sharing topic matter knowledge with colleagues and the wider business

Managing and mentoring junior staff including training and development

A minimum of eight years of prior work experience in the life sciences industry, at least four of which is in consulting

Ability to thrive in solving the toughest problems and have the deftness to parachute into existing efforts and turn projects around

Compensation Statement The following is the annual base salary range, commensurate with experience: $170‑$190k. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Benefits Summary Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k)‑retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy‑two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type. A&M does not require or administer lie detector tests as a condition of employment or continued employment.
