Responsibilities
Classify product and test chip variants under EAR/ECCN framework
Manage BIS license applications, WTEC calculations, and deemed export authorizations
Build and maintain automated classification tool
Establish Technology Transfer Agreements
Create workflow to reduce classification bottlenecks
Handle export control screening for international shipments and customer transfers
Design export control decision trees and classification workflows
Develop product database with standardized identifiers (addressing industry pain point)
Coordinate with Legal and Export Control SMEs on complex classifications
Implement multi‑jurisdiction compliance
Manage restricted party screening and end‑use monitoring
Prepare for and support export control audits
Required Qualifications
5+ years export control experience in semiconductor, hardware, or technology industry
Deep knowledge of EAR regulations, ECCN classifications, and BIS licensing procedures
Experience with deemed export controls and international technology transfer
Proven ability to automate manual processes (Excel, databases, workflow tools)
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field
Direct experience classifying hardware, software, and technical data under EAR
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with supply chain export controls
Certified Export Compliance Professional (CECP) or similar certification
Salary Range $156,500 – $211,700 per year
