Retail Warehouse Operations Manager (Production Manager)

Salaried Pay Range:

$68,640 to $85,000 (will vary based upon strategic talent planning needs)

During the initial job training period, the position will be non‑exempt hourly with the following pay range:

$27.78 to $34.41

Travel:

Occasional travel to Santa Clara and San Jose Savers stores.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for the overall management and direction of the production process, along with leadership of the team, in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations and laws.

Ensure store performance meets financial targets and key metrics.

Set the pace of work and continuously monitor performance.

Analyze and act on key metrics and observations.

Inspect sales floor for shop‑ability and ensure a positive customer/donor experience.

Prioritize and direct team member activity.

Lead, direct, and supervise supervisors and production team members.

Plan staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection and training.

Coaching and counseling of supervisors and team members.

Identify and develop high‑potential supervisors and team members.

Maintain a respectful values‑driven workplace.

Use open communication tools and provide recognition and candid feedback.

Fulfill manager‑on‑duty responsibilities and oversee the store as acting manager when assigned.

Manage item put‑out condition & volume, production margin, pricing, and seasonal back‑stock.

Ensure all sellable items are available to the customer.

Schedule and direct work of the team to achieve sales, service, labor efficiency, and profit objectives.

Manage production workflow efficiencies, standards and organization.

Oversee quality control checks throughout all production stages.

Lead the morning maintenance program to ensure the sales floor is ready for business each morning.

Partner with the Community Donation Manager/Retail Sales Manager to manage OSD flow and process.

Ensure accuracy of daily stock‑on‑hand (SOH) and merchandise supply requirements.

Leverage the Savers recycling program to reduce landfill.

Protect company assets and information through safety and loss‑prevention measures.

Promote loss‑prevention awareness and uphold procedures.

Maintain a safe work environment and support the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Oversee certification processes for Big Joe, baler and Lock‑Out/Tag Out (LOTO).

Perform any other task, function or responsibility as instructed by the immediate supervisor or superior manager.

What you have

Ability to apply common sense and independent judgment.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience

High School diploma; post‑secondary degree/diploma preferred.

Results‑driven retail store or industrial management experience.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying of products under 5 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling racks/carts up to 250 lbs.

Frequent reaching in various directions to inspect merchandise.

Dexterity for complex hand‑eye tasks, including keyboarding and writing.

Continuous standing, frequent walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and occasional kneeling.

Reading of written and electronic documents and product labels.

Ability to hear and verbally communicate in various settings.

Exposure to hazardous machinery, solvents, radiation, dust, and temperature fluctuations.

Work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays.

Safe navigation of work environment with heavy equipment and forklifts.
