Description The Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A supports Conifer’s Finance and Accounting team by developing financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards that improve visibility and decision‑making. Reporting directly to the SVP, Controller, this role bridges Accounting and Finance by combining analytical work with hands‑on reporting and data management. Ideal candidates are detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Remote (requires occasional travel to Rochester, NY)
Location
This position is remote but requires occasional travel to the Rochester, New York office.
Planning & Forecasting
Maintain and improve corporate and consolidated forecasting models, including consolidated property valuation.
Support the annual budget and quarterly updates, including assumption gathering and model updates.
Run scenario analyses across revenue, staffing, operating costs, and capital planning.
Consolidate inputs from Property Management, Development, Portfolio Management, and corporate departments.
Reporting & Analysis
Produce monthly results packages with clear variance explanations and performance insights.
Support monthly board and quarterly lender reporting by preparing financial packages and calculating covenant ratios.
Build standardized templates for budgets, forecasts, headcount planning, and reporting.
Create and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using Excel and BI tools.
Support lender, investor, and internal reporting requirements.
Ensure accurate, consistent metrics across the enterprise.
Business Partnering
Work with operations leaders to understand trends, manage budgets, and identify risks and opportunities.
Support Return on Labor (ROL) analytics, overhead allocations, and property‑level performance visibility.
Provide consolidated forecasting impacts for Development and Acquisitions, as needed.
Help implement AI tools across FP&A by pulling structured data sets, preparing training inputs, and testing new workflows.
Partner with the internal Yardi reporting team to enhance data extraction, automate recurring reports, and improve model feeds.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual reporting through automation.
Projects & Ad Hoc Support
Assist with board and leadership presentations.
Support strategic initiatives, portfolio analysis, and operational improvement efforts.
Experience
3 – 5 years in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Accounting, or similar analytical roles.
Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting, and variance analysis.
Experience in real estate, affordable housing, nonprofit, or development finance is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required.
Requirements
Ability to learn ERP and reporting systems (Yardi, Sage Intacct, Power BI).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Comfort working with large datasets.
Detail‑oriented, curious, and eager to learn.
Organized and proactive.
Ability to meet deadlines.
