Required Experience
Practice description details
Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, recommending dietary modifications, and suggesting lifestyle changes.
Provide medical care to patients with chronic and long‑standing diseases.
Help manage patient symptoms and prevent complications.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and stool sample tests, to determine the cause of the patient's symptoms.
Perform investigative endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, upper endoscopies, and remove abnormalities in the GI tract for diagnostic testing.
Refer patients to other medical professionals and specialists if further diagnostic testing or treatment is required.
Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with other medical specialists, including surgeons, primary care providers, and oncologists, to coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex cases.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records and documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
Education
Medical Degree (MD, DO)
GI Residency training
Board certified
