Teen Support Group Facilitator
Teen Life strives to connect every teenager with a trusted adult and resources because we believe no teen deserves to feel alone. We do this through training community volunteers to lead on-campus support groups in middle & high schools. Join us! Location: Individual school campuses throughout DFW, Keller, TX 76244 More Details
Teen Life is seeking dedicated, passionate group facilitators for on-campus support groups in middle and high schools throughout DFW for the 2025-2026 school year. Our Mission:
Teen Life equips, encourages, and empowers students by providing support groups within schools. Our goal is to help navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. The Commitment:
After completing our online, self-paced facilitator training, we will work to match you with a school that fits your location and schedule. Groups are during the school day, with an expected commitment of one full cycle (once per week, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour plus prep time). You will use our Teen Life curriculum to guide students through activities on topics such as coping skills, strengths, healthy relationships, and utilizing resources. The Ideal Facilitator:
Flexibility is crucial due to school interruptions and testing. We seek individuals with a heart for teens who are reliable, proactive, and able to build relationships with their assigned schools. Balancing ownership of the group with adaptability to campus needs is essential. The Perks:
Join a supportive network of facilitators serving schools across DFW. Your work is highly valued by staff and students, and will enhance your leadership skills. There are also events throughout the year to connect with other facilitators and deepen your understanding of group facilitation and mental health in schools. Reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Lara, to learn more!
