This is an initial 90-day emergency appointment with potential for permanent employment based on performance. About the Department

The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) is the second largest municipal health system in the nation, serving over 600,000 patients annually with a network of hospitals and clinics. DHS collaborates with academic institutions like UCLA, USC, and CDU to provide training and research opportunities. Job Definition and Responsibilities

Under close supervision, serves as a staff psychologist, conducting assessments, providing treatment, and offering consultation. Responsibilities include evaluating inmates' mental health and legal competency, providing court updates and testimony, collaborating with justice partners, and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities. Minimum Requirements

Doctorate in Psychology or related field from an accredited university. License waiver issued by the California Department of Mental Health, with specific conditions regarding duration and out-of-state qualifications. Additional Qualifications

Post-doctorate experience as a Psychologist is desirable. Physical and Other Requirements
