A global Asset Management firm is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their Charlotte team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of their investment and trading applications. You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, operations, and technology teams to support front-to-back office systems, resolve incidents, and implement enhancements that improve business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 2/3 support for critical investment applications, including order management systems (OMS), portfolio management tools, and risk platforms. Monitor application performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem documentation. Support daily trading and operational activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues impacting business users. Participate in application upgrades, patching, and configuration changes. Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and automation tools. Document support procedures, workflows, and knowledge base articles. Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in application support, preferably within financial services or asset management. Strong knowledge of SQL, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and Linux/Windows environments. Familiarity with financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and investment workflows. Experience with OMS platforms (e.g., Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, Aladdin) or similar systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred
Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). Exposure to data integration tools and APIs (e.g., FIX, REST, SOAP). This role must sit out of the firm's Charlotte, NC office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
