Pay: $17-19.50/hr Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, loading, and operating mechanical and/or hydraulic stamping presses ranging. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of metal stamping operations, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:- Load raw material (metal coils or blanks) into press dies according to production specifications.- Set up stamping presses, including die installation, alignment, and adjustment to ensure optimal operation.- Operate stamping presses safely and efficiently within specified parameters.- Monitor equipment during operation for signs of malfunction or wear.- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to machines as needed.- Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning of press equipment.- Follow all company safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).- Accurately complete production documentation, including work orders and quality reports.- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams when technical issues arise.Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required.- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating stamping presses, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.- Familiarity with press safety systems, die setting procedures, and mechanical troubleshooting.- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
