Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of HV/EHV substation design.
Serve as the technical leader for engineering projects, including scheduling, value engineering, design reviews, and quality assurance.
Develop and review power single line diagrams, layouts, and details for high voltage equipment and systems.
Oversee and review deliverables in the ITO process, including specifications, BOMs, and vendor quotations.
Act as the point of contact for technical issues with clients and project managers.
Support team in maintaining billable hours and coordinate efforts among engineers and sourcing teams.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, on-time, and within-budget solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum 10 years of experience in HV/EHV substation design or an MSEE with relevant experience.
Willingness to travel 20%, including internationally, with compliance to company policies.
Desired Skills
Professional Electrical Engineering license in the U.S.
Experience with PG&E standards and utility/substation projects.
Knowledge of design calculations, protective relays, and field testing.
Strong communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Microstation and understanding of IEEE & ANSI standards.
Additional Information This role is based in Pleasant Hill, CA, with a hybrid work model. The salary range is $127,900 - $170,500 annually, with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits. The projected close date is June 21, 2025.
