Job Scope The General Sr. Superintendent is accountable for project delivery, supervising all Superintendents (including approving time off, expenses, schedules, and project assignments) and directing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors. The role enforces quality standards, ensures timely corrections, and coordinates field activities. Any plan changes or monetary commitments must be reviewed with the Project Manager before execution.

Essential Functions

Manage, mentor and train all superintendents assigned to the South and Southeast regions.

Oversee all scheduling and project assignments for your team of superintendents.

Assist in hiring sub-tier employees as well as other Site Superintendents.

Travel to multiple manufacturing sites to conduct quality control inspections.

Maintain the Rotational Schedule for all superintendents and fill-in as necessary to provide the required project oversight.

Travel to project job sites both locally and out of town as projects are assigned.

Project Management duties to include Project Planning & Scheduling, Budget & Cost Control, Resource Management, Client & Stakeholder Communication, Risk & Safety Oversight, Field & Office Coordination, Project Closeout.

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion of projects.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.

Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.

Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.

Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

Walk projects daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Identify areas of improvement within the contract scope and communicate them to the project team for evaluation of VAPs.

Ensure contract compliancy of subcontractors and scope of work.

Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.

Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.

Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.

Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.

Preside at pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor.

Leadership Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of verifiable construction experience.

Experience in light commercial construction and full site development.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil plans, specifications, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards.

Working knowledge of prevailing wage/ Davis Bacon labor compliance and classifications.

Ability to speak effectively before clients, vendors, or employees of our organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe, BlueBeam Revu, MS Project, Dynamics 360, Procore or equivalent platforms.

Experience with prevailing wage/Davis-Bacon compliance.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior superintendent in a supervisory capacity.

Experience in modular construction. Experience in civil construction or site development.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is performed at construction sites in various weather conditions.

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs, and walk through construction areas.

Part of the job responsibilities will be carried out in an office environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities General Sr. Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed. This position shall be responsible for monitoring project security personnel. General Sr. Superintendent will oversee all Superintendents, including approving Paid Time Off and company credit card charges, assigning projects, managing schedules, and performing other supervisory duties as assigned.
