Automation & Controls Engineering Consultant | California
Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Design, program, and implement
PLC and SCADA systems
for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Configure and integrate
HMI interfaces
for operators.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver automation solutions on time and within budget.
Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to improve reliability and performance.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and client specifications.
Provide technical support during commissioning and post-installation phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience with
PLC programming
(Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or similar).
Hands‑on experience with
SCADA platforms
(Wonderware/AVEVA, Ignition, or similar).
Familiarity with
water/wastewater treatment processes
and instrumentation.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.
