Summary The IT Manager is responsible for managing the company’s technological infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operations across premises and cloud environments. This role oversees IT staff guiding their day-to-day activities and professional development. The IT Manager will manage core systems including servers, networking, Azure cloud services, and Microsoft 365 platforms. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to maintain operational excellence and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain on-premises and Azure infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and cost efficiency.

Manage and administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud environments using Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Azure Networking, and storage solutions.

Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune endpoint management.

Implement and maintain identity and access management policies, including MFA, conditional access, and security baselines in Azure AD and M365.

Supervise and coordinate the incident response team, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues and minimizing service disruptions.

Develop and enforce IT security policies, monitor systems for vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Manage virtualization platforms (VMware) to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal resource utilization.

Plan and execute server migrations, upgrades, and patch management to maintain a stable and secure environment.

Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies using Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and other enterprise solutions.

Monitor system performance and network health; proactively identify and address issues.

Collaborate with different lines of business to evaluate technological needs, plan projects, and align IT initiatives with business goals.

Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, and procurement of IT assets and services.

Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.

Lead, mentor, and develop IT team members to enhance productivity, accountability, and service delivery. Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that cross functional lines.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems management experience, including 3+ years with Microsoft Azure.

Experience leading an incident response or IT support team, with a focus on quick resolution and root cause analysis.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.

Strong understanding of information security principles, compliance standards, and data governance practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred – Experience working with global teams. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, etc.

Leading and motivating IT professionals to deliver high-quality service and results.

Managing complex infrastructure environments with both on-premises and cloud components.

Prioritizing and resolving issues quickly while maintaining a focus on long-term stability.

Communicating effectively with executives, end users, and technical teams across multiple lines of business.

Balancing hands‑on technical work with strategic planning and leadership.

Anticipating and mitigating risks through proactive monitoring and policy enforcement.

Physical Requirements

Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motion.

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
