Overview A Quantum Search Partners client, a patient‑centric, virtual‑first, multi‑site primary care practice headquartered in Rockville, MD, seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations and drive strategic alignment across its care delivery entities. Backed by one of the region’s leading healthcare organizations, this client is integrating newly acquired practices into a unified structure and modernizing its financial infrastructure. The CFO will lead all core finance functions—including accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, accounts payable, payroll, revenue cycle, and real‑estate—while partnering closely with executive leadership to deliver accurate reporting, operational insights, and cost‑optimization strategies. This high‑visibility role combines executive partnership with hands‑on oversight of people, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day financial functions and teams across accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, accounts payable, payroll, revenue cycle, and real‑estate.
Lead monthly financial reporting meetings with key stakeholders, providing detailed explanations of variances to budget and month‑over‑month performance.
Direct the integration of newly acquired practices and ensure the alignment of financial policies, capitalization methods, and revenue recognition standards.
Manage external audits and oversee internal audit readiness, ensuring compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Supervise finance and accounting resources across the combined care delivery organization.
Drive the transition of all entities onto a unified chart of accounts, approval workflows, and reporting structure by 2026, ensuring full ledger alignment.
Provide financial leadership for budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning processes.
Deliver actionable analysis to support cost optimization, financial performance enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate and strengthen management functions, including revenue cycle operations and value‑based contract performance.
Oversee the implementation and optimization of NetSuite as the core financial and reporting system.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing strategic recommendations that support organizational growth and sustainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred. 10‑15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within care delivery, primary care, or healthcare services.
Demonstrated success leading multi‑entity finance operations, including FP&A, accounting, and revenue cycle.
Strong understanding of GAAP, healthcare financial reporting, and audit processes. Proven experience leading integrations, system migrations, or consolidation initiatives (NetSuite preferred).
Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement in value‑based care models.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional partners.
