What to Expect We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Design Manager with an electrical focus, who is passionate about our mission to join our energy infrastructure engineering team with focus on cell manufacturing and R&D improvements. In this role, you will own and drive the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to build. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction and project management. The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi‑disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen.
What You’ll Do
Organize and manage design reviews, construction design packages and deliverables to support all aspects of construction: including scope of work, kick‑off, MDR, 30%, 60%, 90%, IFP, IFC
Define strategies for design and engineering deliverables including construction and permit packages
Own the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to delivery to meet our aggressive goals
Manage permitting and construction documents including transmittals and RFI’s
Coordinate project schedule with construction team based on Procurement and Construction requirements for the overall schedule success of the project
Fundamentally understand stakeholder’s requirements and translate them into project deliverables
Manage all aspects of technical planning, scope development, change management, programming, design, and engineering services during construction
Build and maintain strong relationships with the various cross‑functional teams to ensure overall program alignment
Understand different project delivery methods including design bid build, integrated project development, and fast track projects
Implement innovative electrical design based on infrastructure knowledge and collaboration with Facilities Engineering, Construction, Self Perform, and other appropriate stakeholders to support aggressive program and construction schedules
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience required
Experience managing multi-disciplinary within A/E firms
Experience with managing complex MEP projects
Fully understanding all engineering disciplines and be able to demonstrate skills to manage engineering resource
Proven record in delivery of IFB, IFP and IFC packages
Experience and familiarity with VDC approach to project management of manufacturing, industrial, R&D facilities, workplace and site infrastructure development
Project management skills, demonstrated application of project and program management fundamentals to complex engineering problems
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan amongst stakeholders including Facilities Engineering, BIM team, Self Perform teams, and end users
Positive, enthusiastic, fast learner, can‑do mindset and passionate about building complex infrastructure
