The Opportunity with McKinstry We are adding a

Senior Software Engineer

to our evolving Technology division in Seattle, WA. You’ll work in key enterprise systems providing analysis, design, development, and configuration support for internal business partners and external clients.

Additional responsibilities include:

Full lifecycle application development, with a bias toward agile development.

Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.

Conduct software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.

Design front-end graphical user interface.

Conduct software testing, quality assurance, performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation.

Support, maintain, and document software functionality.

Integrate software with existing systems.

Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.

Project planning and project management.

Implement localization or globalization of software.

What You Need To Succeed At McKinstry

Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer.

Experience with MuleSoft desired. If not, experience with other integration development platforms is helpful.

Microsoft SQL Server Development (DDL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, ADO.NET) required.

Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Experience with source control systems, CI/CD, and practices (Azure DevOps, GIT) required.

Understanding of n-tier ASP development and experience in C# software development, .NET development desired.

Development experience using Angular or JavaScript.

Quality assurance, technical writing skills, and application and development interface documentation required.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

BS Degree in IT, or equivalent education or equivalent work experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $99,270 - $169,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
