Configuration Manager
to support a large-scale department of energy contract located in
Washington, DC
through
100% on site presence . The
Configuration Manager
will lead configuration management across the software lifecycle, maintain technical baselines and documentation, implement change control processes, chair configuration control boards, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and enterprise standards for mission-critical DOE systems.
Responsibilities
Lead configuration management across the entire software lifecycle, from initial baselines to end-of-life
Create and maintain configuration baselines for development, test, and production environments
Implement and enforce change control processes, including performing configuration audits and chairing Configuration Control Board meetings
Maintain technical documentation and repositories, including requirements traceability, APIs, test reports, and security documentation
Administer and monitor configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) and support CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DOE/NNSA standards and participate in audits and assessments
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Configuration Management, including software lifecycle and enterprise technical baselines
Expertise with CM tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible, plus experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
Strong knowledge of change control processes, version control systems, and configuration audits
Ability to develop and maintain CM plans and documentation, including requirements traceability and security compliance
Active DOE Q clearance or Top Secret clearance
Scripting and automation skills for configuration tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
Compensation
Salary Range: $155,000-165,000 depending on experience
