Job Description
The Configuration Manager will oversee the configuration management process, ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance of all systems and software. The role collaborates cross‑functional teams to manage configurations, support development and deployment, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required. Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Remote position; occasional onsite meetings in McLean, VA. Based in AZ, DC, FL, GA, OH, ME, MD, SC, TX, UT, VA, NC, OK, WV.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. At least 4 years of configuration management experience. Strong understanding of configuration management principles and tools. Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies. Proficiency in Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills and teamwork capability. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a government contracting environment. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cloud environments and services.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement configuration management plans. Document and track configuration changes. Maintain configuration baselines. Create and maintain configuration documentation. Implement change control processes. Collaborate with development, operations, and QA for seamless integration. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Conduct audits and verify adherence to policies. Identify and resolve configuration issues. Support system outages and technical issues. Seek continuous improvement of processes. Generate reports and analyze configuration data. Work closely with program management and stakeholders.
