Square seeks a seasoned Account Executive with a strong new‑logo sales background to join our Outbound Sales Team. The role covers all merchant verticals, with a focus on services, building a book of business, and driving deals through a consultative sales process. Responsibilities
Understand merchant business and technology needs and create a consultative sales motion. Conduct prospecting, discovery calls, demos, and develop solutions combining Square’s ecosystem with third‑party offerings. Build relationships in the field to increase win rates. Deliver a predictable, repeatable outbound sales process (cold calling, emailing, social selling, etc.). Partner with the Business Development Team to convert and close cold, outbound leads. Introduce Square to merchants across all verticals. Oversee the sales cycle from prospect to close and ensure successful onboarding. Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals and KPIs. Collaborate with Product and Marketing to align solutions with market needs. Use prior sales experience to inform a creative go‑to‑market strategy. Utilize Salesforce to track, monitor, and report sales activities and pipeline status. Qualifications
3+ years of full‑cycle sales experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Proven record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals. Ability to drive deals independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Business development experience (new‑logo sourcing and acquisition). Collaborative, team‑player mentality. Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent. Pay Transparency
Block follows a market‑based pay approach. Starting pay depends on skills, experience, location, and market. Possible zones: Zone A: ($156,200 − $234,200) Zone B: ($145,200 − $217,800) Zone C: ($137,400 − $206,200) Zone D: ($129,600 − $194,400) Amounts include target variable compensation.
