Regional Director of Major Gifts – Mercy Housing Mountain Plains
Mercy Housing Mountain Plains (MHMP) is one of the largest regional affiliates of Mercy Housing, Inc. It develops, preserves, and operates affordable, service‑enriched housing for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, individuals and families transitioning from homelessness, and children in need of a supportive environment across Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Utah, and Arizona. Mercy Housing Mountain Plains serves over 5,000 residents in 45 communities.
Mercy Housing Mountain Plains seeks an experienced fundraiser to advance the organization’s urgent goal of ensuring safe, stable, and affordable housing for all. The Regional Director of Major Gifts will be a frontline fundraiser working closely with the Vice President, Philanthropy to identify, qualify, and cultivate high‑capacity individual donors.

The Regional Director of Major Gifts will manage key relationships with donors and other stakeholders across the MHMP service area and maintain a portfolio of 75‑100 high‑capacity individual donors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Five or more years of experience in frontline fundraising with proven experience closing five‑ and six‑figure gifts
Ability to work in‑person at MHMP’s Denver office (two days per week) and travel (20%) across the Mountain Plains region
Desired Qualifications
Fundraising experience in housing or human services organizations
CFRE or other advanced fundraising certification
Compensation The expected base salary for this position is $95,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience. All employees at Mercy Housing Mountain Plains are also eligible for a generous comprehensive benefits package including PTO and paid holidays; medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) retirement plans; Employee Assistance Program; and many more.
