Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the Admissions Counselor performs a wide range of assessment/intake-related duties, maintaining significant contact with public and private agencies and representing Addiction Treatment Services to promote public awareness. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, coordinating with referring agencies, and admitting clients into the ATS treatment continuum.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Human Services or related field.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, maturity, insight, and sound judgment.
Demonstrated measurable progress in obtaining CSAC within 2 years of hire.
Experience in identification and evaluation of substance use disorders.
Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors on Oahu and demonstrated communication skills in a multicultural milieu.
