Essential Duties

Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory.

Conduct product knowledge presentations to drive sales with retail and flooring contractor ownership and their front‑end sales teams.

Coordinate rapid customer problem resolution through residential response teams and divisional headquarters.

Collaborate with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.

Analyze territory market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers.

Maintain an active sales pipeline equal to or greater than 30% of your annual sales revenue goal by driving the Mannington consultative selling process (CSP).

Stay in regular account sales business reviews and travel as needed.

Provide oral and written reports on customer needs, competitive activities and new product potential.

Serve as a product knowledge expert for Mannington & Phenix product fit, market insight and promotional trends.

Install and maintain displays, ensuring merchandising meets marketing guidelines.

Represent the company at trade shows and conventions.

Operate within allocated sample, merchandising and expense budgets.

Utilize company‑issued technology and CRM systems to maximize sales revenue.

Standards of Performance

Minimum sales revenue: $2.1 million annually.

Minimum of 75 accounts producing sales in territory.

Minimum of 20 customer‑facing calls per week (or 5 per day).

Minimum of 10 Mannington & Phenix consultative sales process calls per week.

CRM maintenance: daily updates of customer events and sales activities.

Active account documentation within the last 30 days of all target accounts.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field.

Minimum of two years outside sales experience with proven performance.

Experience utilizing a consultative sales process.

Experience utilizing CRM to manage and forecast sales opportunities.

Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns.

Strong interpersonal communication, team‑building, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution skills.

Frequent travel required.

Working Environment And Physical Efforts Work involves calling on flooring retailers; must drive a vehicle and be able to move around the store. Requires standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and squatting while merchandising product samples.
