Role Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing force in the ML infrastructure space, seeks a Sales Director to lead and scale their enterprise sales organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this hands‑on sales leader will manage a team of 10 across sales, business development, and solutions engineering functions while actively contributing to strategic deals.
Current Organization
Direct team of 10 professionals including:
Enterprise Account Executives
Business Development Representatives
Solutions Engineers
Direct reporting line to CEO
Planned growth of 1-2 additional enterprise representatives in Q1
The Role This is a player‑coach position requiring both strategic leadership and hands‑on sales execution. The successful candidate will maintain their own book of business while leading and scaling the enterprise sales organization.
Strategic Responsibilities
Define and execute enterprise sales strategy
Build and maintain C‑level relationships with strategic accounts
Establish scalable sales processes and methodologies
Create predictable forecasting and pipeline management systems
Partner with cross‑functional leaders on company‑wide strategy
Tactical Execution
Personally manage and close strategic enterprise accounts
Lead weekly pipeline reviews and forecast calls
Provide hands‑on coaching and deal support
Drive hiring and onboarding of new enterprise representatives
Ensure consistent achievement of team and individual quotas
Required Experience
Proven track record selling to notable enterprise logos
Deep understanding of ML/AI technology landscape
History of personally closing $100k+ deals while leading teams
Experience scaling technical sales teams
Track record of successful enterprise software sales leadership
