Director of Tennis – Troon Naples Beach Club is being reimagined as a modern racquet destination featuring six Har‑Tru courts and updated facilities. We’re seeking a driven Director of Tennis to lead operations, elevate programming, and deliver an exceptional member experience.

Job Expectations

Develop, manage and improve a tennis facility within the framework of Cliff Drysdale Tennis/PBI.

Be the leader of your racket sport facility, both in on‑ and off‑court activities.

Teach a minimum of 20 hours weekly, varying by season.

Create a regular schedule of hours you are on‑site.

When not on‑site, be available on call to deal with emergencies or appoint someone else as the point person.

Job Responsibilities

Administer and enforce facility and corporate policies and procedures.

Adhere to the Employee Handbook.

Plan, develop and grow tennis programs for all levels.

Select, train, supervise and evaluate staff.

Market tennis facilities to members and guests.

Ensure that all facility members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to all their tennis needs.

Ensure the safety of members, guests and employees by following safety guidelines.

Manage the tennis shop (if applicable).

Establish and implement an accurate inventory control system and report results accordingly.

Ensure that revenue is properly recorded into the POS system and reconciled daily.

Ensure checks are secure and deposited weekly.

Provide lessons and clinics on techniques and strategies of tennis to members and guests.

On a daily basis, ensure that the courts are in the best playing conditions possible.

Conduct pro staff meetings.

Develop budgets and take appropriate action to meet budget goals with corporate marketing promotion campaigns.

Maintain a close working relationship with the Facility General Manager/Owner and non‑tennis facility staff.

Attend facility management meetings.

Provide monthly reports as required by Corporate Operations.

Inspect and maintain all physical areas for cleanliness and safety.

Inspect and maintain all equipment for physical condition and safety.

Ensure that all employees consistently comply with the company’s and facility’s employee manual and all applicable federal and state employment laws.

Maintain an accurate membership database.

Ensure that payroll entry is correct for all staff.

Record all on‑court programming accurately.

Have strong knowledge of tennis merchandise to properly give information to consumers.

Know the facility POS system and train others to use it.

Perform other duties as assigned.
