ERS Power Study Electrical Engineer – Electrical Reliability Services, Inc.
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support power systems projects, including short‑circuit analysis, protective device coordination, arc flash studies, and various engineering studies such as reliability, harmonics, load flow, and reliability‑centered maintenance. The role requires a strong grounding in electrical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Support all types of power systems and work with senior power systems engineers.
Perform short‑circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
Assist other engineers with power systems and engineering studies.
Collect field data, prepare documentation, and assist with system configuration.
Support complex studies including reliability, harmonics, load flow, and reliability‑centered maintenance.
Assist with electrical power system documentation and equipment settings.
Help write reports on EMF, electrical load, voltage, and power‑quality projects.
Prepare estimates and take‑offs for engineering study proposals.
Provide training on software tools and data used for power‑systems studies.
Help develop policies and procedures for conducting power‑system studies.
Qualifications
Graduate Electrical Engineer (BSEE) or equivalent.
FE exam passed or will pass within 12 months of hire.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and mature judgment.
Experience with short‑circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash studies.
Flexible work schedule: willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements: light–medium lifting, frequent standing, bending, climbing, and occasional driving. Environmental demands include moderate to high noise, working around moving machinery, and outdoor work without weather protection.

Salary: $108,150–$135,188 per year (Oregon/Colorado). Compensation may include bonus, stock, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401(k).
