We are looking for a digitally savvy, results-drivensales leader to generate new business and expand market share across ourNorthstar Meetings Group’s North American events and integrated mediaplatforms.

This Director, Business Development role combines strategichustle with a deep understanding of digital marketing and omnichannelengagement to connect destinations, hotels, and brands with Northstar’spowerful planner audience.

The idealcandidate will have a proven track record of exceeding goals and sellingintegrated, multi-platform programs. In this role, you will lead

the full sales lifecycle from prospecting andpipeline development to customized proposal creation, campaign strategy, anddeal closure, while leveraging analytics, intent data, and performance insightsto optimize outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to buildmulti-platform programs that integrate events, content, and digital solutions,while cultivating long-term client relationships that drive retention, renewal,and measurable growth.

This is a remote position and is open to candidates basedin the United States. The ideal candidate will be based in Florida.

We alsohave an office in Rutherford, New Jersey for those who favor being in an officea few days a week.

What You’ll Do

Driveaggressive revenue growth by developing and executing a strategic territoryplan that expands sales among existing clients while relentlessly prospectingand securing new business

Identify,pursue, and close new opportunities across digital, data, event, and custommarketing solutions to meet and exceed monthly and annual goals

Applyconsultative selling expertise to uncover client challenges, positionintegrated Northstar solutions, and deliver measurable ROI that helps customersachieve their business objectives

Understandthe competitive landscape and educate agencies and customers regarding thevalue and strength of Northstar Meetings Group events and marketing portfolioto reach the meeting and incentive planner audience in the marketplace.

Createproposals and presentations and answer RFPs in a timely manner

Workwith internal teams on analytics, pre/post sale to clearly communicate progressof campaigns to clients and internal stakeholders

Collaborateclosely with management to build and maintain relationships with clients thatinclude strategic consultation and support

Travelto attend client meetings and industry events to deepen relationships, identifynew opportunities, and prospect for future partnerships

Providedetailed and accurate sales forecasting weekly

What You Have

7+ years of proven success in B2B digital and event businessdevelopment, preferably within the meetings, travel, hospitality industries

Experience in digital anddata-led marketing sales, with the ability to build integrated campaigns thatconnect digital, content, and event channels for measurable ROI.

Demonstrated track recordof exceeding revenue goals through proactive prospecting, pipeline management,and consultative selling

Strong hunter mentalityhighly motivated, resilient, and driven by results, with the ability toidentify and close new opportunities in a competitive marketplace.

Exceptional presentation,negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging toexecutive-level decision-makers

Proficient in using CRMsystems (Hubspot or similar) to manage pipeline, forecasting, and reporting

Collaborative team player mentalitywith the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, andevent operations teams

Willingness to travelfrequently (25-30%) for client meetings, industry events, and Northstarprograms

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, orrelated field preferred

The annual base salary range for this role is$110,000-$130,000 and is commensurate with experience, plus commission.
