TEEMA
US & CAN Engineering Recruiter | Senior Associate at TEEMA
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr About the Company
A stealth-mode technology venture is redefining the way intelligent robotic systems operate in complex, real-world environments. With a culture rooted in innovation, precision, and bold experimentation, the team is building advanced automation solutions that seamlessly bridge hardware and software. What You'll Do
Lead a team in
the development of robotics software systems, with a focus on motion planning, perception, and autonomy. Design and implement algorithms that enable robots to sense, plan, and act in dynamic environments. Work hands‑on with sensor data (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, depth sensors) to enhance localization, mapping, and object recognition. Tune, debug, and test sensor‑fusion and motion‑control algorithms to improve system reliability and accuracy. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to optimize performance across embedded systems, control architectures, and simulation environments. Develop and maintain tools and pipelines for robotic simulation (Gazebo, MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, or PyBullet). Partner with the software team to integrate AI/ML pipelines, including reinforcement learning for motion or control optimization. Lead the Engineering team, train junior engineers and interns,
and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and creative problem‑solving. Prototype, iterate, and experiment rapidly to explore new ideas in robot behaviour and autonomy. Must‑Have Qualifications
5+ years of experience in robotics software engineering, motion planning, or perception systems 2+ years of lead experience – this individual will be growing the team Strong proficiency with C++ and Python is mandatory Startup or cross‑functional R&D environment experience. ROS/ROS2 or equivalent frameworks. Strong understanding of both hardware and software components in robotic systems. Experience with at least a few of the following: SLAM, Visual Odometry (VO/VIO), or 3D reconstruction; Depth estimation, stereo vision, or LiDAR-based perception; Obstacle avoidance, trajectory, or path planning; Sensor calibration and synchronization; Hands‑on familiarity with simulation tools such as Gazebo, MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, or PyBullet. Demonstrated ability to "figure it out" – creative, resourceful, and comfortable solving ambiguous problems. Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
Exposure to reinforcement learning and AI/ML pipeline development. Experience with agentic AI or adaptive autonomy systems would be unreal! Background in high-performance or real-time robotics systems. Location & Work Type
On‑site presence is required. Eligible candidates may be supported under TN Visa, OPT, or EAD status. H‑1B sponsorship will be considered for strong experienced lead candidates. Benefits
Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits. Our Culture
We value curiosity, humility, and initiative. You’ll thrive here if you’re a systems thinker who enjoys experimenting, collaborating, and learning from every challenge.
