DevOps Cloud Engineer

Join us to design, provision, secure, and enhance Harbor’s cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices. This role suits a technologist with 3–5 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys automation, and proactively improves cloud scalability, performance, and security. You will collaborate across engineering, development, and business teams to deliver reliable, secure technology infrastructure solutions that power Harbor’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design & Operations – Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud and on‑premises infrastructures across compute, storage, database, networking, and security domains (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).

Infrastructure as Code – Implement and maintain IaC using GitHub, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.

Performance & Cost Optimization – Continuously evaluate and optimize AWS environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.

Automation & CI/CD Enablement – Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; integrate security scanning and compliance checks (e.g., Orca Security).

Artificial Intelligence – Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance CI/CD and DevOps efficiencies.

Security & Compliance – Implement best practices for IAM, network, encryption, XDR, and logging/monitoring; collaborate with Information Security for compliance and incident response.

Monitoring, Reliability & Troubleshooting – Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across hybrid environments.

On‑Call & Maintenance – Participate in weekly on‑call rotation to support production systems and resolve incidents; manage patching, BC/DR capabilities, and policy governance using AWS Systems Manager and Cloud Custodian.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Partner with developers and stakeholders to design robust cloud solutions, recommend new tools, and document standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field.

3–5 years of professional experience as a cloud, network, or systems engineer with DevOps exposure.

AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Associate or DevOps Engineer – Associate) strongly preferred.

Experience in the financial industry or regulated environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Cloud expertise – Proficient with AWS compute, storage, networking, database, and security services including EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, and container services.

Networking – Working knowledge of switching, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.

IaC & Automation – Experience with Pulumi and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Node.js).

CI/CD – Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent automation tools.

Security – Familiarity with IAM, SIEM, SASE tools, and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.

Monitoring & Logging – Proficiency with AWS CloudWatch, LogicMonitor, Splunk, or Orca Security.

Compensation Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000
