Position Title
DevOps Cloud Engineer

Reports To Director, Cloud Operations
Summary We are seeking a skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps and IaC practices. This role supports AWS and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, security, and scalable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage AWS and on-prem infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).
Maintain and enhance Infrastructure as Code using GitHub, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
Optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Integrate security scanning and compliance into pipelines.
Use automation/AI tools to improve DevOps efficiency.
Implement IAM, network, encryption, logging, and monitoring best practices.
Partner with Security teams to meet compliance requirements.
Support vulnerability management and incident response.
Configure monitoring, logging, alerting (CloudWatch, SIEM tools).
Troubleshoot cloud, network, and deployment issues.
Participate in on-call rotation and support production systems.
Manage patching, BC/DR, and governance via AWS Systems Manager and Cloud Custodian.
Work with developers and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
Recommend new tools and automation opportunities.
Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's in CS, IS, or related field.
3-5 years in cloud, systems, or network engineering with DevOps exposure.
AWS certifications preferred.
Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Strong AWS knowledge (compute, storage, networking, security).
Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VPN, firewalls).
IaC and scripting (Pulumi, Python, Bash, Node.js).
CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or similar).
Familiarity with IAM, SIEM/SASE tools, monitoring platforms (CloudWatch, Splunk, LogicMonitor, Orca).
