You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on project involvement, shaping the future of our delivery processes. This position reports to the CEO and is a member of the company’s Leadership Team.

Beginning in 1981, Clanton & Associates has combined design and technical excellence in lighting and electrical systems for transportation, urban environments, master planning, civic, academic, and daylighting projects.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on project involvement, shaping the future of our delivery processes with either an understanding of Architectural Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering. This position reports to the CEO and is a member of the company’s Leadership Team.

Primary role & responsibilities
Oversee project financials, team coordination, and execution quality across the organization
Balance 50% operational oversight with 50% billable project work
Resolve resource bottlenecks and refine delivery processes
Track budgets and timelines, ensuring profitability and efficiency
Mentor project managers and foster cross‑disciplinary collaboration
Coordinate with leadership to align project execution with strategic goals
Lead quality control initiatives and ensure compliance with standards
Foster a culture of clarity, collaboration, and accountability
Support proposal development and project planning
Represent the firm in client meetings and industry events
Qualifications and required skills
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Building)
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in project management
Substantial project experience working with lighting systems for buildings, roadways, and/or public spaces
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office
Ability to lead teams and manage complex project workflows
Active listening, time management, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills and credentials
10+ years of relevant experience
Familiarity with codes and standards (ASHRAE, IECC, LEED, NEC, etc.)
Experience deploying automation and artificial intelligence
Compensation range Salaried, $130,000 - $150,000 annually.
