The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary Provide clinical dental services within the priorities of the YKHC Dental Department and assist in dental prevention and dental health education efforts in the surrounding villages.
Position Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the commission of Dental Accreditation of the ADA.
Current license to practice dentistry in the State of Alaska. Credentials necessary for appointment to the Medical and Dental Staff of the YKDR Hospital.
Ability to supervise dental assistants’ chair side work and Dental Externs.
Desire to work with and supervise Dental Health Aide Therapists (DHAT’s) and Dental Externs.
Experience with dental telemedicine is a plus.
