Remote Legal Billing Specialist Law Firm
You must live in CA.
You can be fully remote UNLESS you live within 1.5 hours of Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. Then you are on a 2/3 hybrid model
Your hours can be 8:30-5, 9-5:30, or 9:30-6 with required paid overtime when needed
You must have proficiency with CMS (Aderant Expert) OR Elite
$65,000-$80,000 plus paid overtime (Straight time up to 40 hours per week, and Time and a half over 40 hours per week)

The firm is seeking to hire a full-time Legal Billing and Collections Specialist to join the CA Finance department.
Job responsibilities include:
Provide billing and financial support to assigned billing attorneys
Input and maintain client billing guidelines as applicable
Prepare and present pre-bills to attorneys in accordance with client-matter billing terms.
Process edits, post invoices, and forward final bills to the billing attorney and/or client as directed
Prepare and review accounts receivable and WIP reports, and assist with the collections process.
Review all New Account Memoranda for completeness and open new client matters
Reviews and processes Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as needed
Assist attorneys with monitoring hours, realization, or other financial analysis as it pertains to fixed fee or other alternative fee arrangements.
Qualified candidates must have the following:
An A.A. or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or at least one year of related experience in a medium to large law firm, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid experience and skills using CMS (Aderant Expert) OR Elite, and e-Billing/e-Billing hubs
Advanced client/customer service Law firm billing experience
Attention to detail/Analytical Skills
Assist team members and overtime hours as needed, usually towards the end of the month, and there is no time off allowed at the end of the year or beginning of the year
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
