Location Camp Arnold, Salvation Army Webster Road E, Eatonville, WA 98328
Position Overview Assist a counselor with supervision and programming for a group of assigned campers to gain experience in camp counseling and support the mission of Camp Arnold.
Responsibilities
Attend and participate in all camp programs and spiritual activities.
Maintain personal grooming and cleanliness of living quarters.
Assist with clean‑up of the camp at the end of each session and at summer conclusion.
Enforce camp policies and procedures; maintain safety for staff and campers.
Coordinate and implement all program components in daily schedule.
Assist counselor in providing leadership and care for assigned camper group.
Participate in initial cabin meeting and supervise in dining room.
Plan and conduct one cabin devotion per week.
Check beds for wetting; follow procedures for bed wetting cleanup.
Assist with leadership in program areas as assigned; coordinate with Unit Leader.
Accompany camper group to all planned camp activities.
Complete required forms related to camper or program evaluation or health documentation.
Complete daily entries in Camper Log book.
Attend Weekly Camp Out unless given specific permission otherwise.
Assist with other duties as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.
Ability to operate telephone.
Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to understand written information.
