Essential Functions
Preparation and initial review of 1041 trust and estate income tax returns
Preparation of fiduciary accountings, knowledge of state statutes & familiarity with documents as it applies to fiduciary accounting
Analyze tax issues and come to conclusions
Perform diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of a senior manager or partner
Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
Meet time constraints and client deadlines
Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills; ability to train others
Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service
Ability to develop and maintain client and referral relationships
Qualifications
Must have fiduciary experience; law firm or trust department experience will be considered
8+ years experience in preparation and review of 1041, 706 and 709 returns, high net worth 1040 preparation and planning affecting estate and gift tax returns
Trust department or accounting firm family private office fiduciary tax and/or administration experience would be considered
Experience with preparation and review GST issues associated with 706, 709, 706-GS (D) and 706 GS (T) filings
In addition to CPA, the following designations are strongly preferred: EA, CFTA, CFP, PFS, and PFP
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. CRI will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this position or future positions. (No sponsorship is available for H‑1B, L‑1, TN, O‑1, E‑3, H‑1B1, F‑1, J‑1, OPT, CPT or any other employment‑based visa).
