Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician

Position Summary Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) at Phoenix Children’s seeks a BE/BC Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician for a full-time faculty role in Phoenix, Arizona. The Division of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, housed within BNI, offers comprehensive pediatric neurological, behavioral, and mental health care, integrating neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology, developmental pediatrics, and physical medicine & rehabilitation in one central location. The institute is committed to quality inpatient and outpatient care and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Clinical responsibilities include evaluation and management of children with developmental and behavioral problems, such as autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, ADHD, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, and related conditions.

Position Duties
Provide inpatient and outpatient patient care and subspecialty consultations.
Offer diagnostic and therapeutic services, including urgent/emergent care.
Strive for patient and family centered care and support hospital patient satisfaction goals.
Adhere to divisional patient safety and quality standards.
Practice contemporary evidence‑based medicine.
Divisional Responsibilities
Meet annual physician goals and objectives.
Support medical education programs: supervise trainees, conduct teaching rounds, deliver lectures.
Participate in research endeavors and programmatic growth.
Support programmatic satellite efforts when appropriate.

MD or DO degree (Required)
Special Skills
Ability to move freely from facility to facility and examine patients.
Effective communication by telephone, computer, or other devices.
Ability to perform after‑hours or night call responsibilities as needed.
Regular work hours schedule.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Additional Requirements
Current Arizona license to practice medicine or ability to obtain prior to start date (Required)
Board certified or board‑eligible in appropriate specialty (Required)
