Senior Network Engineer
to help maintain and optimize our infrastructure with a strong focus on network security and performance. Key Responsibilities Network Architecture & Design
Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance LAN/WAN infrastructure. Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and enhancements.
Firewall & Security Management
Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA). Implement and maintain VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances. Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices. Conduct regular firewall audits and vulnerability assessments.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Proactively monitor network performance and address potential issues. Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multi-platform environments.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with software development and DevOps teams to support infrastructure needs. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and change management records.
Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a senior network engineering role. Hands-on experience with:
Enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto) Network routing/switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP) VPN, IDS/IPS, VLANs, and Load Balancers Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus)
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and network segmentation. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG). Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, NSE4/7, PCNSE) preferred. Nice to Have Experience supporting hybrid cloud/on-prem environments. Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for automation of network tasks. Familiarity with SD-WAN and Zero Trust Network models.
