The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for an experienced Sales Manager ProServe (SMP) to lead a team of ProServe Account Executives and Cloud Architects. You'll drive transformative IT projects for clients, focusing on IT Strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. The SMP is a trusted advisor who collaborates with ProServe sales and delivery teams to ensure sellers are working backwards from our customers and proposing solutions that optimize the delivery of customer business outcomes. SMPs support customer relationship management while enabling sellers to lead sales activity, ensuring customer satisfaction for a defined set of customers and partners. They are primarily focused on delivering outcomes through their teams, removing roadblocks, and ensuring teams have the tools and support to achieve their goals. The role requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and developing a high-performing team of Account Executives and Cloud Architects.
Developing and supporting the execution of sales strategies to meet team targets and drive revenue growth.
Managing customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction, and identifying new opportunities.
Leveraging deep AWS knowledge to guide sellers in proposing optimal solutions.
Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting to optimize operational processes and manage risk.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with cloud computing technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
7+ years in technology sales, with 3+ years in management.
Experience in leading business development activities and managing sales cycles.
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience navigating complex DoD/IC procurement cycles and understanding of defense acquisition processes.
Track record of successful enterprise-level engagements within cleared environments and familiarity with national security compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, IL4-6, DoD/IC Security Guidance).
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and complex workstreams supporting multiple DOD/IC programs.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain C-level client relationships.
Experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud technology.
