About the Firm Located in the New York City Metropolitan Area, hybrid/remote options for those close to NYC. A thriving start‑up law firm specializing in commercial auto, trucking liability, and New York Labor Law litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Defend fleet operators, trucking companies, and insurers in complex commercial auto/trucking liability cases with accident exposure.

Litigate New York Labor Law cases from inception through trial and appeal.

Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

Provide strategic analysis and coverage opinions on liability policies, reservations of rights, disclaimer, and declaratory judgment actions.

Engage in tactical negotiation and settlement to minimize exposure for clients.

Collaborate with seasoned litigators on high‑value defense matters across multiple practice areas.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to practice in New York (New Jersey admission a plus).

5+ years of experience as a civil litigator with significant commercial auto/trucking liability defense work.

Substantial New York Labor Law litigation experience (construction‑related personal injury defense).

Demonstrated insurance defense expertise, including declaratory judgment litigation and coverage opinion drafting.

Courtroom and trial experience strongly preferred.

Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to craft persuasive arguments.

Excellent organizational skills; manage deadlines and billing requirements.

Independent work while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
