Clinical Social Worker, MSW, LICSW Transplant Administration
This is a 40‑hour, 100% onsite social work position to provide a range of clinical social work services and case management to patients in the lung, intestine and liver transplant program. The social worker will care for the organ group population in all phases of transplant (evaluation, transplant admission, and follow‑up).
Key Responsibilities
Psychosocial assessment as part of transplant candidacy for the program
Counseling and crisis intervention
Facilitation of the use of hospital and community services
Resource information and referral, and program development
Psychosocial consultation to multidisciplinary team
Education Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work
Experience
2+ years as a licensed Social Worker
Experience in a medical environment, bereavement, child protection issues preferred
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills are necessary
Diverse candidates encouraged to apply
Licensure/Certifications
LICSW licensure in the state of MA
This position is 100% onsite. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
Pay Range: $28.21/hr - $45.15/hr (Boston Children’s Hospital provided range; actual pay determined by skills and experience)
