Job Description This position serves as a Project Material Manager on small Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) projects or may serve as a regional lead for non‑project procurement.
Plan, organize, direct, and control an appropriate portion of the purchasing or regional indirect procurement function or direct the purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing function on a project
Develop, or assist in the development of purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing activities on the project or non‑project procurement in a particular region
Perform material buying, expediting, or field purchasing activities in accordance with the corporate Operating System Requirements (OSR) and established project or Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures
Provide general and direct supervision to the purchasing, expediting, and other support staff as assigned
Responsible for implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule
Negotiate and/or provide assistance in negotiation of large to complex equipment and bulk material packages to obtain best value for the Project
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner
Other Job Requirements Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
Federal and/or Nuclear experience highly preferred.
Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)
Working toward applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)
Experience should be primarily in the area of material management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer literacy and skills
Excellent leadership and decision‑making skills
