Job Description The Investment Analyst (IA) works with Investment Managers and the Investment Advisory Group (IAG) to assist in the delivery of Investment Management Services to Truist Wealth clients who generally have $5 million+ in AUM. The IA typically works with at least two Investment Managers to manage a client base of approximately 100–150 relationships with assets under management averaging $1–$2 billion and revenue responsibility averaging $7.5–$10 million.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Investment Manager in acquiring prospective clients through comprehensive analysis of complex outside portfolios and presentation preparation.

Propose, construct, and monitor client‑specific, advice‑driven investment strategies and solutions for individuals and families.

Make proactive recommendations to Investment Managers and/or clients.

Responsibly manage daily trading activities in discretionary, non‑discretionary, and trust‑based portfolios, adhering to and documenting compliance with Truist, SunTrust Advisory Services, and relevant regulatory policies and procedures.

Work with Investment Managers and compliance to monitor client portfolios relative to their investment policy statement and identify and address variances.

Assist in client onboarding and develop the Investment Policy Statement in accordance with the client’s unique situation.

Develop and advise on investment recommendations and help transition new clients into a collaborative and ongoing portfolio management and client communication cycle.

Prepare regular investment reviews for existing clients, recommend, establish, monitor, and adjust investment strategies and solutions as needed to achieve the client’s goals.

Attend meetings and participate in presentations to clients and interact with other Truist wealth teammates.

Actively engage in risk management.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and related training.

Series 65 license required; candidates will have 60 days from their start date to transfer, or 100 days to acquire all registrations and licenses required for this position.

Demonstrated understanding of fundamentals of finance and investment theory.

Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.

2+ years of investment management, trading, or related experience.

Ability to work on complex projects with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification or progress toward CFA.

MBA or progress toward MBA.

Additional professional designations such as CFP®, CIMA, CAIA.
