Overview
Texas Oncology is seeking a full‑time Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.) to join a group of five radiation oncology centers located in the North Dallas Region. The position is housed at the Texas Oncology clinic in Flower Mound, Texas.
Facilities and Equipment We operate a single ARIA database, Eclipse planning system, Rad Calc 2nd check program, Profiler, SNC Physics software, and 3D scanning system across the five sites. Treatment and imaging equipment includes six Varian linacs, two Elekta Nucletron HDRs, three Nucletron Flexitron HDRs, five GE CTs, one PET/CT and a mobile PET/CT, serving an average of 160–170 patients daily.
The Team Our fully staffed region consists of five board‑certified radiation oncologists, seven ABR‑certified physicists, one non‑certified medical physicist, seven certified medical dosimetrists, and five chief therapists.
Physicists collaborate closely with network colleagues and participate in vendor webinars, journal clubs, and committee work.
Responsibilities
Full range of on‑site clinical medical physics support to include HDR, SRS, and SBRT.
Support and participate in physics support for the North Dallas Region and travel to sites as needed.
Determine the need for, specify, and maintain dosimetric and treatment‑planning equipment—including measurement instruments, calibrations, and computer systems.
Advise and consult with physicians to provide guidance on patient planning and treatment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
ABR certification, or completion of a CAMPEP‑approved residency with board eligibility, and clinical experience.
Texas Medical Board license required or must be obtained.
