Position Overview
We are a mid-sized firmed based in Hartford, CT, seeking a skilled Commercial Transactions Attorney to join our legal team. In this role you will provide expert legal advice on a variety of commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while effectively managing risks. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial law, with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate Transactions, and other corporate matters. Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions transactions Advise on real estate transactions and compliance matters Perform legal research to support business objectives Manage regulatory affairs and ensure compliance with applicable laws Provide counsel on intellectual property issues Facilitate dispute resolution processes as needed Assess and manage risks associated with commercial transactions Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal strategies with business goals
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) Licensed to practice law in the state of CT 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, and corporate compliance Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements Excellent legal research and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
