The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through drug distribution, clinical services, and education. Essential Duties

Verify medication orders accurately and timely via Cerner. Evaluate patient profiles for medication appropriateness, including dosage, duplication, side effects, and cost-effectiveness. Verify all dispensed medications accurately and efficiently. Follow procedures for investigational drugs. Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with sterile compounding regulations. Manage narcotic dispensing, reconciliation, and discrepancies. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding drug dispensing and controlled substances. Recommend and implement workflow and operational improvements. Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, providing mentorship and training. Maintain strong communication with medical and nursing staff regarding pharmaceutical matters. Volunteer for additional duties such as sick call coverage and extra shifts. Resolve problems independently, including drug shortages and system downtimes. Review and update policies and medication order sets in Cerner. Complete patient monitoring profiles and make therapeutic recommendations based on guidelines and formulary. Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical programs. Document interventions and participate in ADR and medication error reporting. Train and mentor pharmacy staff and students, providing educational sessions. Qualifications

Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited school. Minimum 2 years hospital experience or completion of a residency. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to patient care and customer service excellence. Preferred Qualifications

Three years of oncology experience or residency. Licenses and Certifications

Current California Pharmacist License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), if applicable. The hourly rate ranges from $64.00 to $105.60, based on various factors including experience and responsibilities.
