Who we are looking for Re:Car is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced
Senior Vehicle CAE Durability Engineer
to join our growing team. This role involves performing durability and stiffness simulations to develop and optimize EV body structures.
What you will do The Senior Vehicle CAE Durability Engineer will lead and guide design using CAE tools, assessing vehicle structure performance in durability and stiffness with nCode DesignLife and Optistruct. Responsibilities include creating and debugging full vehicle durability models with pre-processing tools like ANSA/HYPERMESH, post-processing simulation results with nCode/HYPERWORKS, and proposing design improvements. The role requires analyzing results to find optimized solutions through multiple simulation iterations, correlating CAE results with test data, and applying advanced methods such as DOE/DFSS. The engineer will also prepare reports and communicate findings with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master’s or PhD preferred.
8+ years of full vehicle durability analysis experience.
Proficiency with nCode, Optistruct/NASTRAN, ANSA, and HYPERWORKS.
Experience with Random Vibration analysis, RLDA and 4-poster testing, and CAE-Test result correlation.
Knowledge of optimization tools and techniques using Optistruct.
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
Team-oriented problem solver.
