Executive Sales Leader | GTM Strategy | B2B Growth | Salesforce CRM | Contract Negotiation | Remote Team Leadership | Market Development This role isn’t a clock-in, clock-out kind of gig — and we don’t expect just anyone to apply. We’re building something bold in Austin, and we’re looking for a driven, self-managed, community-minded operator to lead the charge. If you see yourself reflected below, you’re exactly who we want on the field with us.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
1. This role isn’t a clock-in, clock-out kind of gig — and we don’t expect just anyone to apply. We’re building something bold in Austin, and we’re looking for a driven, self-managed, community-minded operator to lead the charge. If you see yourself reflected below, you’re exactly who we want on the field with us.
1.
You Live in Austin and Know the Pulse of the City
To build community, you’ve got to be in it. You must live in or very close to Austin, have your finger on the pulse of local events, parks, neighborhoods, and social hotspots. Bonus points if you’re already active in social groups, rec leagues, event organizing, or the young professional scene. We need someone who knows where our people hang out — and how to reach them. 2.
You Have Strong People and Community Skills
This role is part logistics, part marketing, and 100% people-powered. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves connecting with others — whether it’s onboarding players, solving small customer issues, energizing the crowd at game night, or building rapport with a local sponsor. You must be approachable, responsive, and able to create community from day one. Charisma, empathy, and follow-through aren’t just nice-to-haves — they’re your default.
3.
You’re a Doer — Self-Motivated with a Hustle Mentality
There’s no timeclock, no micromanagement, and no cubicle. You must be the kind of person who gets things done without being told. You must be organized, goal-driven, and capable of running your own calendar and task list. You take initiative, solve problems creatively, and thrive on building something from scratch. You follow through. Always. This is your business to grow — with our system to back you. If that excites you, you’re our kind of person.
4.
You Can Handle the Core Logistics of League Operations
This isn’t just a marketing role. You’ll also be responsible for the moving pieces that make a season run smoothly: Field permit acquisition Scheduling games, referees, and teams Coordinating with your league bar Basic customer support (we help with overflow) Day-of logistics (ref gear, scorecards, shirts, etc.) You don’t need prior league experience — but you do need to be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
5.
You’re Comfortable with Grassroots Marketing and Promotion
To succeed, you’ll need to promote your league — not with big budgets, but with hustle: You must be comfortable handing out flyers, posting in social groups, messaging strangers (respectfully), and asking for the referral. You should know how to post content across Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit to generate local buzz. You’ll be expected to market smartly and consistently — we give you the tools and content to make this easy and repeatable. If you’ve ever promoted an event, run a side hustle, or helped launch a local brand — you’re already ahead.
6.
You’re Comfortable Being “the Face” of Something Great
As the Market Director, you’re not just behind the scenes — you are the league. That means: You’re comfortable talking on a mic and hyping up a playoff night. You’re friendly but professional with bar owners and sponsors. You respond quickly and solve issues like a pro — even when players are being players. You’re not doing this alone — we’ll give you the playbook and national-level support — but this is your show to run locally. Seniority level
