Who You Are We are looking for the Head of Global Financial Crimes to join the leadership team of the Compliance Department. You will create and further build the overall financial crimes program, designing and implementing an outstanding program to help grow TabaPay's business while protecting the broader payments ecosystem and the company. You must demonstrate excellent regulatory understanding, comprehensive industry knowledge, scalable process and system design, data‑driven approaches, and executive level communication and presentation. You will engage with and influence senior‑level internal and external regulators.
What You’ll Do
Drive the strategy for a global financial crimes team, including anti‑money laundering/counter‑terrorist financing, sanctions compliance, and fraud.
Lead the design of transaction monitoring, investigation, and suspicious activity detection systems and framework, ensuring regulatory requirements are met while maintaining efficiency.
Ensure monitoring and surveillance systems are in place to prevent suspicious activities, using technology and data analytics to identify potential financial crime activities; collaborate with technical teams to understand and design analytical methodologies and monitoring scenarios.
Ensure comprehensive mitigation of red flags and closure of gaps identified in coverage assessments through the development and deployment of effective rules and ongoing testing.
Oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and compliance controls across all products and geographies.
Analyze trends and patterns in alerts and dispositions, collaborating with Analytics and Program Management teams to develop risk mitigation and detection strategies.
Collaborate with partner teams across the company and work with leadership to challenge the status quo to improve and grow the business.
Manage service level agreements and deadlines to develop and meet goals and internal benchmarks using data to inform decision‑making.
Provide periodic reporting to senior management and the board of directors on financial crimes compliance program development.
Requirements
15+ years of managing compliance‑related experience with a focus in financial crimes.
5+ years of experience overseeing projects and teams handling complex processes.
Demonstrated experience implementing complex and global frameworks for AML/BSA risk in a financial services setting.
A talent for responding with tight timeframes, making quick decisions, and ensuring alignment in a continuous, evolving environment.
Experience creating functional and organizational processes to meet compliance and regulatory requirements that scale with growth.
Ability to balance risk and rewards (including customer experience) while meeting regulatory requirements.
The compensation for this position is $180,000. Base pay may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
